
Most generous musician of the year, Davido, made it known to the public that he had serious issues with his dad when he left school for music. “My Dad sent police after me when i left school for music”
He disclosed this in an interview with American-based podcast, Earn Your leisure.
From what he said, his father, Adedeji Adeleke went to the extent of shutting down his major shows and sent police after him.
in his words; “I was not in school, i had to face music full time and he managed to find out. And that was when the drama started, I went back to the city and my dad was chasing me with police. They came after me to pressure me to go back to school. Any show he saw me on in a flyer, he shuts it down”

He further stated how he reconciled with his dad after his hit song Dami Duro went viral. He went further to say that when his dad realised how big his brand is, they made a deal that allowed him attend shows when he wasn’t in class.
“Then i dropped this hit song, Dami Duro and the song was so big that people my dad could not get to was singing it, even the president was singing it. My dad and I reached an agreement, I got a degree in business management and music” he added
